WORD of the Day

PALATABLE:

"agreeable to one's sense of taste or palate" or "agreeable or acceptable to the mind."

The soup was too bland for my taste, so I added my favorite spices to make it more palatable.
Those who are afraid of flying often travel by locomotive as their palatable alternative.

PALATABLE comes from palate, a word for the roof of the mouth, which itself comes from the Latin word palatum.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Shouting HAPPY BIRTHDAY all the way from Detroit, MI, to one of the Greatest men I know on earth, my uncle James J.D. Holmes.

You're not getting old, just a bit wiser.
